You have had plenty of experience and have learnt from a professional in the job. Another way you could jump start your career is by going to college and doing a course in the trade. This shows prospective employers that you have all the knowledge necessary for the job and are committed to the job as you have carried out all the necessary training whilst receiving no money.
Once you are qualified and have a job in the profession there is plenty of room for improvement, you could become your own boss in the future and start up your own business. You could stay working for someone else and maybe climb the ladder that way by becoming a supervisor or even manager. You can work on contracted employment and work that way.
The possibilities are endless and it is a career seriously worth thinking about.
